Asking the Question?

What Organization is going to Sponsor the Same Level of Secure Identity that is being issued to Federal Employees, Contractors, First Responders and Transportation Workers to Access our Seaports?  Future Workplace, LLC thinks that the Competitive Edge of the U.S. Citizen is at risk around the World due technology that was matured here in the U.S. under FIPS-201 and is not moving as urgently as Economic Conditions demand.

Let us know your thoughts!  We are looking forward to your comments and suggestions.

Corporate America is Following Federal Lead in PIV implmentations, What about Small Business, Cities, States and Citizens?

The Federal Government is making record breaking strides in implementing FIPS-201 and issuing Robust Security Credentials to Federal Employees and Contractors.  Homeland Security is also expanding the use through the Transportation Working Credentials known as TWIC.  FEMA is sponsoring through Grant Programs, Education and Demonstration Projects the FRAC or First Responder Credentials all incorporate FIPS-201 to enable Security and Privacy for Employees and Contractors throughout their infrastructure.

Beyond the issuance of Credentials to increase Security and Privacy, these Robust Credentials enable not only improved Business Processes within their infrastructure, but also enable a wide arena of other uses that are available via commercially available products such as Adobe LifeCycle Enterprise Suite, Sun and Microsoft products.

The Smart Card Alliance White Paper on Using FIPS 201 and the PIV Card for the Corporate Enterprise provides a thought provoking look at Corporate Americas adoption of this technology to improve the performance of their business and security.

The next question is How do We move this highly secure and e-business enabling product beyond the Federal and Large Corporate Environment to our Small Businesses, Cities and Citizens?

Your Thoughts?
